Stadt, a hotel a few hours North of Gothenburg in Lidköping, Sweden, recently turned their hotel suites into an extension of their restaurant. Rather than reserve a table, guests reserve a room in which they enjoy a lovely dinner, essentially a few hours of room service. The rooms are booked for 2.5 hours, with a full menu from the hotel’s restaurant.
Realizing their overnight reservations were severely hurting, Stadt decided to get creative, and the feedback has been positive from the local community. Reservations can be made for 2-12 people.

How Does It Work? Instead of being escorted to a table in the restaurant, you are shown to your reserved room. Once in the room, you will find the evening menu, and upon deciding what you want to eat and drink, you will call us and we’ll take your order. We offer reservations for 2-12 people in each hotel suite and the reservations are slotted in 2.5-hour increments.
