Iconically located at 1 Central Park West, on Columbus Circle between Broadway and Central Park West, the Trump International Hotel + Tower New York (“Trump NYC”) has been a perennial Forbes 5-star hotel, as well as a long-time, ultra luxury, hotel destination for the global elite.  Countless other awards – such as the awarding of a Michelin 3-star to Trump NYC’s anchor restaurant Jean Georges – have followed this 1968 built, 44 story, mixed use hotel and condo residence.

Irrespective of the furor behind the politics of this American moment, any guest at Trump NYC will unquestionably feel the impeccable charm and grace of their near-flawless team.  From the men who handle your luggage upon arrival – “WELCOME to Trump NYC!” they excitedly proclaim as I got out of my nondescript yellow cab – to the housekeepers who consistently say hello irrespective of their yeomen’s task, the reason to pick this hotel is the absolute feeling of coming home.

Naturally the amenities within the hotel are worth every dollar paid.  Remote-controlled black-out curtains shelter any light from the crystal-clear floor to ceiling windows, which comes in very handy when a guest sinks into the incredibly plush yet wide California-king beds.  Additionally, nary a speck of dust can be found on the pristine linens or throughout the tastefully decorated rooms, in a muted palate of royal purples and variations of beige.

Bathrooms are equally flooded with light, with plenty of mirrors and inlaid light fixtures to apply the most perfect smoky eye.  And, for tall guests, the shower head reaches well above 7 feet!

Looking well serves an additional purposes at Tump NYC because of their sensational food-and-beverage program.  Dress-up and enjoy Jean Georges.  Worth every dollar paid, the food at Jean Georges sings with natural flavor and quenches any appetite (read here for my full review of the restaurant:  I personally could order the Sweet Pea Soup all-day, every-day and never go tired of the symphony of flavors.  Of course, if Jean Georges is not apart of the budget, the more casual Nougatine has the famous burger all journalists write about – truly worth visiting just to try it!  (All room service food is from the Jean Georges/Nougatine kitchen.)

Then linger in the expansive gym/spa below ground level.  I’ve never had a better manicure in my life than at Trump NYC’s spa.

Overall, Trump NYC is absolutely worth the price and I sincerely can not wait to visit again!
