This past Saturday I went to Old Town Alexandria for the first time since February 2019 to sample some beer and pizza at the Paradiso in the Park Beer Festival. Hosted by the pizza company Pizzeria Paradiso at the Old Town Waterfront Park, from 12 noon to 8 pm, 30 Virginia Craft Beer companies had rather generous pours for $6. Unfortunately, several beer stands ran out of beer when we got there at 4 pm, which was disappointing to say-the-least for beer fans; however, great news for those hosting the event.

In addition to the beers, there were also meatballs and pizza from Pizzeria Paradiso. I didn't have either because I kept hearing from guests about how little they liked it -- also I was desperately seeking beer -- but I probably should have. I think, for those, who look for fun new things to do in the D.C. area, this is something to keep on the radar for next years but definitely show up early rather than later. No entry fee and also some very local, yet live music.
