This past week I spent a large amount of my time in New York City. Lucky for me, after having just missed New York City's first blackout in 40 years, the weather was a marvelously balmy 70 degrees. I couldn't believe it!! With the cooler weather, everything about the city seemed to sparkle even more and my hotel, the exceptional Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel, made sure I got the best suite in the building.
Located literally across the street from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, the Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel doesn't make "the best of" lists but they should. The team there was incredibly nice, kind and patient no matter how VERY tired and EXTREMELY cranky the traveler (that would be me) is. I have nothing but the highest of praise for how they dealt with me, and I am grateful I did remain patient because I can not image having stayed anywhere else in New York with the views I got.
Enough about the service. The hotel itself has a great price-point: just around $330 a night with tax included. Beds are clean, and medium-firm. In-room amenities include Starbucks coffee and Aveda bath products. The televisions are flat-screen and completely capable of being used to stream any streaming service you have. Windows are double, maybe even triple-paned, because I hardly heard any noise ever.

Additionally, for those who like a popping late-night, hotel scene, the Renaissance New York Midtown has a boisterous bar scene. The main check-in level bar is packed with people at all hours of the day and the fifth-floor restaurant also has a vibrant vibe. Little known fact: several sports-related podcasts, film there.
I can't wait to head back to the hotel and want to again thank the team for such a delightful stay!!
