Periodically throughout the year, the creative team at Drink Company gives the best cocktail gift to Washington, D.C. locales:  pop-up PUB.  Most recently they did a "True Crime" pop-up and now they have started what has become an annual tradition, the ever-popular Cherry Blossom Pop-up PUB.  My good friend Jessica Sidman (of the Washingtonian) did a marvelous write-up of the entire scene here and you should definitely read it.

With each pop-up PUB, the lines to get in are huge.  I remember for Christmas pop-up PUB people were waiting, on average, of 2 to 2 1/2 hours!!  And then the Game of Thrones pop-up had a similar wait time.  D.C. folks are patient when it comes to waiting in line for really cool events so they waited patiently, but if you want to skip the line Drink Company has joined forces with the National Cherry Blossom Festival to allow you to purchase a way into the bar without standing in line.

On Wednesday, March 20th, you can purchase a ticket ($20) and guarantee your entry into the Cherry Blossom PUB at their selected arrival time: either 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, or 9pm.  Each pass grants a timed access of two hours into the bar.  For example: a 5pm entry ticket requires a 7pm departure. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and guests are welcome to make additional donations inside the pop-up bar. The event is 21+ with tickets only available online, which can be purchased here

This sounds like the ideal situation and I hope you will join in!  Be sure to order the "Honeydew, Honey See."  I really loved how refreshing the "Honeydew, Honey See" drink was.  Made with Sake, Americano Vermouth, Shio Koji, Cucumber, Honeydew and Absinthe, the drink went down like water ... DANGEROUS!
