I can hardly believe I am two weeks away from Christmas, and a mere three weeks from 2019!  Where did this year go?!  I feel like I still have so much to accomplish ... and since I doubt I can do it in the next three weeks, to jump start what I hope is a wonderful year of travel, I am spending several weekends away from D.C. in January at some of the most wonderful hotels around the world.

First up is a perennial favorite, the Four Seasons Vail.  (If you didn't read my CNN Travel story on the Four Seasons Vail, be sure to read it through this link here.)  I love skiing and the Four Seasons Vail is literally considered the best hotel in this quaint, ultra-luxurious town.  I am going to take a nice, relaxing, 3 day/3 night vacation before the new Congress comes into D.C.  Then, because I haven't been to Beaver Creak ever, I am going to make the quick 17 minute drive to Park Hyatt Beaver Creek for a one-night stay there as well.

Then it's back to D.C. for work, work, WORK and then a quick 48-hour weekend off to The Clifton.  If you haven't heard about The Clifton, read my quick review here.  I am going to be doing some work for Brides Magazine, and The Clifton is supposed to be one of the most popular places in the DMV (D.C./Maryland/Virginia = "DMV") to get married.

Finally, it's my long awaited, much anticipated trip to the Ganesvoort Villas!  I know I am going to need these cathartic vacation trips so I can prepare mentally for the long slog ahead in the first and second quarter of 2019.  CAN'T.  HARDLY.  WAIT!!

Be sure to sign-up for alerts on my blogs to hear my instant thoughts on these stunning hotels and destinations, as well as the other trips I will have planned in 2019 -- always happy to hear suggested for my annual birthday trip!
