In 1927, hotel lovers welcomed Louis Sherry's vision of building New York's tallest building. Dubbed The Sherry-Netherland, with its total of 164 residential units (50 of which are dedicated hotel rooms and suites) with each individually decorated and maintain original architectural details including decorative fireplaces, crown moldings and high ceilings, and many offer views of Central Park. In fact, some of the stunning marble bathrooms still feature the original pedestal sinks with nickel plated faucets from the 1920s, but perhaps one of the most famous features within this iconic hotel is the mural on the ceiling of the intimate, which was inspired by Raphael's frescoes in Cardinal Bibbiena's Loggetta in the Vatican Palace and in 2014 was refurbished to reflect its original splendor.

Ninety years later this iconic hotel is celebrating Mr. Sherry's historic vision and commemorating nine decades of outstanding service and luxury accommodations with its lavish “Suite Ninety Anniversary” package.

Throughout the year, guests who book the two-night “Suite Ninety Anniversary” package will stay in a beautiful one-bedroom suite and receive a celebratory bottle of Champagne to toast the hotel’s milestone birthday. The package also features wonderful mementos, including a commemorative keepsake box of Louis Sherry Belgian Chocolates, and two plush terry robes to take home. The indulgence continues with daily continental breakfast served via room service and a $300.00 credit to dine at the renowned Cipriani restaurant, located in the hotel’s lobby.
