One of the greatest benefits of a "staycation" is being able to visit a property without having to fly or train or bus thus avoiding countless security checks and overburdened ticketing agents. I always love stealing away to a hotel whenever I am in D.C. or N.Y.C. and enjoy 24 hours where someone is waiting on me hand-and-foot. Luckily for me, both cities have a plethora of beautiful hotels so I have a steady stream of choices as to where I can have a staycation, and this weekend I will be enjoying the multi-million dollar renovations at the Ritz Carlton Washington, D.C.

I can't wait to report back on everything the hotel has to offer now that the renovations of the entire hotel, from lobby to Club Level to rooms, are complete.
