Last Day in Paradise: Good Sunday Morning from St. Regis Bora Bora

How quickly the time here at the St. Regis Bora Bora has flown! I will be sorry to say goodbye to the peace and quiet, relaxing atmosphere, azure waters, impeccable service and of course these views. The above is what the sunrise in Bora Bora looks like every morning I have been here.

While 60% of the property's guests are, always, honeymooners, there are also couples who just come for some quality bonding. Yesterday, noteably, a family checked in to the villa to my right: dad, mom and their two sons. The kids were very well-behaved and, since the property has two pools (one adults only), I didn't see them except when they almost ran over me with their bikes!!

Other than this one silly incident -- and to qualify it as even an "incident" is ridiculous -- yesterday was a perfectly peaceful day. I woke up and enjoyed the breakfast buffet here before some pool time and an entire binge-worthy day of writing. YES. I worked for most of my day here.

Speaking of the breakfast buffet, since I am flying out today, I decided to make the strategic decision to truly indulge in the gluttonous feast of breakfast. There is a la carte menu items such as nutella crepes or strawberry waffles. Either of these items are not crispy like Americans prefer but rather more soft in the traditional European sense. Eggs are also a la carte and can be served in whatever variation is desired. (Note, if you ask for "one" egg such as I did, they interpret it as "one serving" so be prepared.)

In addition to these a la carte items are fresh fruits stations, fresh vegetables stations, fresh cheese and meats, as well as heated items such as bacon, hash browns, miniature quiches, as well as the most important item not to forget: THE FRIED RICE. The fried rice here is the best fried rice I have ever had!

Also, this is the cutest idea ever, but the St. Regis Bora Bora offers these miniature Tabasco sauces. Hot sauce is my favorite and I've definitely gone through my fair share with four breakfasts tucked under my belt. Since at home my breakfast consists of either yogurt or a chocolate croissant, I will miss the depth of the variety. Hopefully I will get a chance to come back to this property again in my lifetime!

Until then, thank you St. Regis for a remarkable four days!!
