I was really sad to miss out one of the three inaugural Windstar Cruises' partnerships with the James Beard Foundation this year but, alas, sometimes schedules don't match. However, I am thrilled that I will finally be able to join this small boutique cruise company's voyages -- recently selected for Conde Nast's Reader's Choice Gold List of cruises -- for their first ever cruise of the Croatian Coast and Greece in the summer of 2017. YES. I am such a planner I require a near year's worth of advance notice to get me to somewhere!
Officially entitled "Athens to Greece," here is the official descriptor from the cruise company: "Explore a dizzying array of UNESCO World Heritage Sites as beautiful as they are noteworthy: the layer-cake terraces of Plitvice Lakes, Kotor’s wondrous bay, the Acropolis at sunset. Enter the narrow portal that leads to the living medieval city of Monemvasia. Dine on Italian pasta and Croatian seafood in the same dish. Follow olive oil to its source, and cheer forgotten athletes in Olympia and Nemea."
Naturally I expect all the guests will received Windstar Cruises' exceptional service -- they have 210 staff for 310 onboard guests -- as well as the ability to relax in one of their luxurious new suites.
