Stylisted launches in D.C.

With successful launches in Chicago, all five New York City boroughs, and Los Angeles, on-location beauty service Stylisted has finally arrived in the power capitol of the world: Washington, D.C. “DC has been on our list of top cities since Stylisted's inception in 2013. Our business was built with the DC woman in mind - the busy professional juggling career, family, and a rich social calendar,” stated Co-Founder Julia Carmona.

How it works is women book appointments via a website and mobile application (available for iOS. launching Android in Spring 2016). Everything from blowouts & dry styling, updos & braiding, makeup application & lashes, among other beauty-related services (including Bridal) will happen at any location of the client’s choosing. No premium.

Stylists have been carefully vetted with the goal of empowering a network of great experts to connect with fabulous women. Clients are able to browse stylist bios and photo galleries, read reviews, and submit payment through a secure payment processor. This allows for fast, efficient, stress-free booking, and it gives the women using the service the comfort of selecting a carefully vetted stylist who will best suit her specific needs.

“Ultimately, we want DC stylists to use the Stylisted platform to run what is essentially their own small business,” says CEO and Co-Founder Lauren Katzberg. “We felt it was important to empower beauty professionals to grow their freelance business by providing a platform through which they can showcase their work and connect with clients.”
