Washington, D.C. will soon be playing host to a unique event. Unlike the typical roundup of “best of” food // drinks // desserts, the 2015 Lamb Jam will focus exclusively on lamb. Hosted by the American Lamb Board, seventeen chefs will present their best lamb dish, inspired by the Mediterranean, Asian, Latin America and the Middle East in the
On Sunday, May 17th, favorite local chefs such as Chef Rodney Scruggs of The Occidental Grill & Seafood, Chef Kyle Bailey of The Arsenal at BlueJacket, as well as the hilariously charming Chef Franck Loquet of ICI Urban Bistro will compete to face chefs from four other cities to win the title of “Lamb Jam Master.” Then, the winners from Seattle, Austin, Boston, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. will head to New York City for the championship.
For a more intimate experience, former Lamb Jam champions, Chef Nemo Bolin and Chef Rodney Scruggs, will be hosting a VIP grilling experience on May 15 at Occidental Grill & Seafood. In this more intimate shepherd to chef event, guests will enjoy h’orderves, cocktails and lamb dishes. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with the chefs, a local butcher and a sommelier.
