Those seeking food adventures have followed a worn path to HUSK Nashville, the restaurant of legendary James Beard award winning chef Scott Brock, where Southern cuisine perfectly marries with the inventive, gastronomic cuisine today's social media craven diners such as myself enjoy. Exquisitely simple yet flavorful, Chef Brock always delivers with his elegantly crafted dishes.

For those unable to make the 11 hour car ride -- or short flight -- over to Nashville, today Chef Brock will be in Washington, D.C. as HUSK partners with Jack Rose Dining Saloon to raise money for Jeeps for Joy, a charity benefiting underprivileged children. The opportunity to indulge in the pleasures of Chef Brock's culinary talent without leaving the confines of our Nation's Capital, as well as helping children, is a rare opportunity not to be missed.

"A Night of Southern Hospitality" will feature delicious southern classics straight from the achingly soulful kitchens of HUSK with HUSK favorites like Carolina Rice Griddle Cakes (c. 1875) with smoked trout dip & pickled onions, Cheerwine Glazed Pig Ears with Soft Rolls, Cucumber & Smoked Duke's, and Husk's famous Shrimp & Grits -- which will turn any non-grits lover into a rabid fan.

Also, as the host location for this charitable event, Jack Rose Dining Saloon's "secret" cellar, with its extensive whiskey and bourbon list, will also be available for VIPs. The extra $125 in the ticket price ($250 total) will allow VIPs to taste flights of four vintage ryes and bourbons from the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
