Unimaginably breathtaking, Capri's allure has been well-established by American royalty, such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Audrey Hepburn and Clark Gable, who habitually frequented this tiny island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula. The emerald waters are as clear as a mirror, reflecting the pleasure of the faces of tourists who should applaud themselves for venturing this short 50 minute hydrofoil jet ride from Naples.

Making my first trip there for my long birthday weekend on the Amalfi Coast, the visage in person exceeded even the heartiest of verbiage. Despite a torrential storm blackening out power in Prariano -- and cancelling a slew of jets to Capri -- I found myself on the last ride out and am so blessed to have made it heaven on earth!

Of particular note is the hotel I currently hold as "the best hotel I have ever been to," i.e. the J.K. Capri.

From the moment you enter, your heart is swept-away by the captivating details of this sublime hotel. From the soaring, white wood painted ceilings, the deliciously deep shades on the wall, the pops of effortless color in the rugs, the slew of decorative artifacts as well as plush seating arrangements, made me swoon with envy. "I want to own a place just like this." "I have to have it." "If you make me leave, I will kill you." These thoughts jumbled around in my head like a child in a candy store for the first time, and I resolved to do whatever it took to own a home like J.K. Capri -- or, at least, settle for coming back here as frequently as possible!
