Foodie lovers rejoice!! The esteemable and inventive Sean Brock, the James Beard award-winning chef of the near-flawless Husk Charleston as well as Husk Nashville (McCrady’s and Minero too), is coming to D.C. on April 29th. Joining with the team at Jack Rose Dining Saloon, Chef Brock will create an evening of Southern-inspired culinary fare for the underprivileged children of Jeeps For Joy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in need, within the Mid-Atlantic region. www.jeepsforjoy.org.

Chef Brock's specialties including Carolina Rice Griddle Cakes (c. 1875) with smoked trout dip & pickled onions, Cheerwine Glazed Pig Ears with Soft Rolls, Cucumber & Smoked Duke's, and Husk's famous Shrimp & Grits -- which will turn any non-grits lover into a rabid fan -- will be available on this night. While Jack Rose Dining Saloon’s Chef Russell Jones will serve Maryland Crab Cakes with chow chow puree, Fried Chesapeake Oysters with country gravy & benne, and Pork Head Cheese Ravioli.

And because no real Southern meal is complete without biscuits, both chefs will collaborate on a Country Ham & Biscuit station. Chef Brock will carve up his famous 2-year Tennessee Country Ham, to serve alongside Chef Jones' fresh-baked Buttermilk Biscuits with pimento cheese and onion marmalade.

Also for the serious whiskey fanatic, a limited number of Cellar Tickets will be available for $250, which includes an additional tasting flight of four vintage ryes and bourbons from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. Choices might include iconic ryes like Mt. Vernon, Baltimore Pure Rye, Sherbrook and Old Overholt, and antique bourbons such as Old Taylor, Kentucky Bonded, Sunnybrook and Wild Turkey.

Tickets to "A Night of Southern Hospitality" featuring Sean Brock at Jack Rose can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-night-of-southern-hospitality-tickets-16356952084. General admission tickets are $125 (including tax & gratuity), which includes food, one Stitzel-Weller tasting flight, and open bar of select wine, beer and spirits from 6-9pm.
