Off to the Langham Hotel for The Best of "The New London" : United Kingdom

With the rapid changes in the London real estate and food scene the last five years, one element which has remained tried-and-true is the storied institution which is known as The Langham Hotel, an elegant bastion of London's West End. As I return to London to research a new food and travel article entitled "The New London," I am also looking forward to reviewing this hotel which has stayed true to its past while modernizing itself with contemporary grace.

Opened in 1865, The Langham Hotel proudly proclaims to have hosted a slew of dignitaries and royals since it was deemed as London's first "Grand Hotel." Naturally this claim is believable since, over these last 150 years, the commitment and devotion to unparalleled luxury has resulted in a truly bespoke experience. From architecture to furniture, to craft cocktails at the chic Artesian, to fine dining at the Roux at The Landau, The Langham provides an evocative explosion to the senses.

I am particularly looking forward to having afternoon tea at Palm Court as well as taking a dip in the pool inside the Health Club!
