New partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World
Without questions, the arena of luxury travel is a hotly contested field wherein the minute details become all-encompassing. It just simply is not good enough to have a "nice" room with "nice" sheets and "nice" sized bathroom. I might as well have created and copyrighted my own website "Pimp My Hotel" to describe the excrutiatingly painful details separating great luxury hotels from the merely average ones.
In my pursuit to become the absolute best luxury food travel critic in the world, I have been fortunate to be asked to work with the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World, an association formed of over 520 hotels in more than 80 countries.
All of these hotels are small and independently owned and I love the entrepreneurial spirit which drives these hoteliers, managers, international sales advisors, publicists and ground team to build hotels with 40, 50 or 60 rooms yet having a guest-to-staff ratio of 1:3 -- and sometimes 1:4! Magnificent spirits!
Last night kicked off what is sure to be an eventful year of luxury food travel for www.AdventuresInSery.com. Be sure to stay tuned to the blog for more details on travel in the first quarter of 2015!
