Presidential Suite at Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner

This weekend I am indulging -- or I am *being* indulged -- in the ultimate D.C. "staycation" at the newly renovated Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner. Because I am spoiled and lucky, I was upgraded to the $8,000 a night Presidential Suite and I have to say the general ambience, style, as well as the view is unparalleled in Washington, D.C.

Sprawling over 1,836 square feet on the 23rd floor of the hotel -- conveniently the same level as the also renovated Ritz Carlton Lounge -- the Presidential Suite has a wonderful warm palate of dark navy, brown, grays and splashes of color provided by copious amounts of coffee table books.

The bathroom is not overly enormous but ideally spacious, with a shower worthy of a presidential suite. I really enjoy the cast-iron look and hope to have it in my own home after it is bought and renovated! Also, the bathroom has a bidet, akin to the ones you always find in luxury Japanese hotels, and the Kohler brand is a nice touch.

Separate dressing area, a kitchen as well as the ability to connect extra rooms are additional features of the Presidential Suite. The photo doesn't really capture the pattern of the shimmering wallpaper, as well as the beautiful crystal light fixtures, however the overall palate is very much my personal style. If you want to know more about the layout, you can find full details (including floor plans) here: http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/hotels/washington-dc/tysons-corner/rooms-suites/presidential-suite.

Of course many thanks to the hotel for my gorgeous floral arrangement as a welcome gift! I absolutely love love LOVE hydrangeas -- as well as any white/green floral bouquet -- so these are pretty special. They put in blush roses and orchids as well. So beautiful I might use these for my wedding!

Now off to the "hard labor" of checking out the spa! I certainly need it after last night's gluttonous dinner at the hotel restaurant ENTYSE! We got delivered literally ALL of the desserts, so yummy! More on dinner later ... savory selection menu here: http://www.ritzcarlton.com/content/dam/the-ritz-carlton/hotels/usa-and-canada/washington-dc/tysons-corner/pdf/Entyse_menu_5.4.18.pdf.
